Chris began as a piano prodigy at age 8, playing grade 6 NYSSMA piano pieces and was already writing original music by age 5. He began playing the drums at age 3, piano age 5 and bass at age 7.

Chris had a big break as a session player came when he was asked to sub for the world famous and most recorded drummer in music Steve Gadd at age 16 in 1978. Chris has built 4 recording studios and has amassed a huge client list and credit list as Producer, Label Owner, Multi-instrumentalist and now video Producer and ai music and video technology trail blazer.

Although well known as a multi-instrumentalist/producer, Chris is also well known for his blazing ability on guitar when after many years of producing records, he released several highly acclaimed blues records (Top 15 Billboard charting) on his own label Modern Voices. Chris has also spends time guest conducting for various National Symphony Orchestras such as The Louisville Orchestra, Toledo Symphony and the Arlington Symphony. He has also arranged all the Herman’s Hermits hits for symphony and acts as Peter Noone’s Musical Director for all of his symphonic shows. Through his success as a Solo Artist, Producer and Label Owner, he has gone on to have over two dozen top 20 Billboard hits and his Modern Voices Label was named a TOP 10 Indie Label by Billboard in 1997. He parlayed that success into a Major Label distribution deal with Island/Def Jam. Chris, as a musician and businessman, has always been ahead of the curve. Back in 1981 he was already refining the home project studio and fifteen years later he foresaw the demise of the brick and mortar music business. Thus, he decided to focus strictly on Digital Distribution and create and promote Digital Content. He created a digital store and website in 1995 at a time when the music industry was not ready for such a new business model. Chris was honored by Berry Gordy (Past President/Founder of Motown Records), who called on Chris to arrange and perform an impromptu medley of “America the Beautiful” and “Lift up Your Hearts and Voices” for opera star and actress N’kenge at President Obama’s 2009 Commander-In-Chief Inaugural Ball. Chris also played for President Trump at the 2017 Inaugural. He has shared the stage with Bon Jovi, Peter Frampton, Josh Groban, Smokey Robinson, Ann Wilson and many others. He sits on the Board of Directors for the charity “Rock and Roll For Children”, and performs every year at their yearly Charity concert event and auction. Chris founded Modern Voices Distribution which is distributed by Sony The Orchard and co owns and runs the company with his colleague and life long friend John Tabacco.
